Leederville Dental

I attended the practice on Thursday 19th January 2023. I was given a prescription for antibiotics for a tooth infection. I was also very concerned about the pain but was told to take Panadol and neurofen. When I went to the chemist to get the antibiotics they told I would have to wait a few months as there was no antibiotics in Australia. I would have thought the dentist would know better which antibiotics he can prescribe.I had to see a medical professional to get a script for antibiotics. This time the person knew what antibiotics were available and I went to the chemist and started the series of antibiotics.I was very disappointed with the dentist because the pain medication was not adequate and the script was not available.Just to add. The dentists is replying with political correct flowery language. They are arguing that the antibiotics are in Australia. I went to 4 chemists and none had the antibiotics prescribed. They said there was none in Australia. Interested to see what the dentist is going to ARGUE NOW.I did contact the practice via email. Unfortunately I got a politically correct speel that suggested I go somewhere else. My concerns were not addressed at all. I don’t think a practice should behave like this. That is why I voiced my concerns via the reviews because I was not being taken seriously.

I had a very bad experience with this facility. The doctor is very less cooperative. He doesn’t even explain the procedure what is going to do. I don’t like this facility.

I have struggled with a fear of dentists since I was young- this has followed me into adulthood as I experienced traumatic experience after traumatic experience. So when I cracked a filling it was with abject fear I walked into my appointment at Leederville Dental (deciding on this practice after moving to the area). I can say I didn’t cry OR have a panic attack for the first time AND I even made a dental plan moving forward. Dr Paola was AMAZING. She hyped me up and checked on how I was feeling throughout the process and I can honestly say I have NEVER been this comfortable and fearless. So glad to have found this surgery!

Best dental practice I've been to. A customer of 8 years who started with a dentist phobia from childhood and now one of appreciation. A very considerate and professional outfit.

Honestly have such a fantastic experience everytime at Leederville Dental. I have such a dental phobia and heightened anxiety pending a visit and they support me through the appointments and I always leave smiling. So grateful for their service and won't be going anywhere else :)

I initially went to see the dentist on 19th January 2023 for a tooth infection. The Panadol and neurofen suggestions for pain management was not adequate. The script for antibiotics was not available in Australia. I have to get a script from a health professional.By the Saturday morning (21st January) the pain was unbearable and my face was swollen. The antibiotics had not kicked in yet and I really needed pain management. I went back to the dentist and she did not even realise my face was swollen. I asked if I can have better pain medication but the dentist insisted I take Panadol and neurofen. She would not give me a script for pain management.Unfortunately for a second time I have to go to a heath professional for help. The heath professional was concerned about my swollen face the dentist had missed. She was concerned that I did not have appropriate pain medication. She advised me to go to hospital if the swelling got any worse. Something the dentist did not comment on. The health professional prescribed a broad regime of pain treatment.The pain is now under control and it seems the antibiotics are starting to work. I very much appreciate the help of the medical profession. I don’t appreciate the dentist. I will not go back to Leederville Dental and based on my experience I would advise others to go to another dentist.

I am terrified of dentists due to a bad experience when a teenager. I came here as they specialize in sleep dental. I wasn't sure how it could work if I was only sedated and then woken up straight after. To my amazement 3 hours later I did and didn't feel or remember anything. I am glad now that I have somewhere I can go to have my teeth looked after with sedation and not having to have a general anaesthetic. They also are very nice and calm and explain everything so would highly recommend this place even if you don't need sedation like myself.

Didn't think I would ever give a dentist 5 stars due to the fear I have of them. I would highly recommend this practice for anyone who has nerves and a fright of going to the dentist.

I have been a client since Dr Richard opened Leederville Dental and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. He is a consummate professional and the staff he employs are excellent as well. If you want a dentist that cares and knows his subject matter consider going to Leederville Dental.
